Managing Your Listings on GearTrader

Accessing Your Listings

  1. Navigating to the Seller Dashboard
    • Log in to your GearTrader account.
    • Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the page.
    • From the dropdown menu, select Dashboard.
  2. Accessing Listings
    • Once in the dashboard, navigate to Selling > Listings in the left-hand menu.
    • Here, you’ll find an overview of all your active, draft, or inactive listings, along with quick actions to manage them.
  3. View Your Listings on the Marketplace
    • Listings appear publicly with the Buy Now button for buyers.
    • If you're viewing your own listing as a seller, you’ll see an Edit Listing button instead, allowing you to make changes directly.

Editing a Listing

  1. Find the Listing to Edit
    • Locate the desired listing in your Listings tab.
    • Click the pencil icon under the "Action" column to edit.
  2. Update Your Listing
    • Modify details such as price, condition, description, or images.
    • Ensure your updates comply with GearTrader's policies. For example:
      • Use actual images of the gear.
      • Provide accurate descriptions to avoid disputes.
  3. Save Changes
    • After editing, click Save and Publish Now to update the listing live.
    • Alternatively, select Save as Draft at the bottom of the editing page to unpublish the listing.

Managing Listing Status

  1. Set a Listing as Draft
    • To change a live listing to a draft:
    • Click the pencil icon in the "Action" column to edit the listing.
    • Scroll to the bottom of the editing page and select Save as Draft.
    • This will unpublish the listing, changing its status to draft. You can republish it anytime.
  2. View Your Listing
    • Click the eye icon in the "Action" column to preview how your listing appears to buyers browsing the site.
  3. Remove a Listing
    • Click the trash icon to delete a listing permanently. Note: Deleted listings cannot be restored.
  4. Check Listing Performance
    • Monitor your listing's views and activity stats directly from the dashboard to gauge buyer interest.

Tips for Successful Listings

  • Keep Your Listings Updated: Regularly update your prices and descriptions to reflect the current market value and item condition.
  • Use High-Quality Images: Clear, well-lit photos can significantly improve the chances of a sale.
  • Engage with Buyers: Promptly respond to buyer questions or offers to maintain trust and encourage purchases.
